Description
The 602/603 half-face respirator covers the nose and mouth and is a reusable, filter-changeable respirator for spraying, painting and dusty work. The body is elastomeric rubber; being light, it does not weigh on the face during long jobs and conforms to the facial contours to form a seal. Its bayonet connection accepts a wide range of twin filters, and this is the mask's most important feature, because the level of protection is set by the filter you fit rather than by the mask itself. You need to choose the filter class that matches the job — gas, organic vapour or particulate; a mask with the wrong filter offers no protection. The twin-filter layout lowers breathing resistance, so breathing is less tiring than through a single-filter mask. A cradle suspension harness spreads the load across the head, and the low-profile shape does not restrict the field of view. Beards or long sideburns prevent a proper facial seal, so the fit should be checked before every use.
