Children's 3-Ply Surgical Mask, Pack of 10

Description

This is a three-ply surgical mask sized for a child's face. Each layer does a different job: the outer layer forms a barrier against droplets, the meltblown middle layer does the actual filtering, and the inner layer is the soft surface against the skin. That middle layer is what separates it from single- or double-ply cloth masks, so it is worth checking that meltblown is stated on the packaging. A formable nose wire runs along the top edge; pressing it onto the bridge of the nose reduces air escaping upwards and also cuts down fogging for children who wear glasses. The pack holds 10 masks. The mask is single use and should be replaced once damp or soiled — it is not washable for reuse. When fitting it, the child should hook the loops behind the ears and make sure the mask covers under the chin. Masks are not recommended for children under two years old.
