Description
The MS400 200 is an anti-embolism stocking covering the whole leg up to the groin. It supports venous circulation with pressure decreasing from the ankle upwards; the difference from the below-knee version is that circulation in the thigh also falls within the compression zone, which is why it is chosen where movement is restricted for long periods, such as bed rest. The Lycra and nylon blend keeps the stocking's shape through the day so it delivers even pressure, and the anatomical pattern follows WHO standards. It is used for varicose veins and varicosities, oedema, after childbirth and surgery, after sclerotherapy or laser treatment, and for prevention. It comes in five sizes and should be selected by measuring the leg. It is best put on in the morning before the leg has swollen, and it matters that it stays flat without rolling during the day. Your doctor should decide how long it is worn. If a below-knee length is sufficient, the MS400 100 is available.
