Description

A full face mask is the type of sleep apnoea mask that covers the nose and mouth together; it suits users with nasal congestion or who breathe through an open mouth during sleep better than a nasal mask does, because air escaping through the mouth reduces therapy pressure. This BMC model has an adjustable silicone forehead support; setting it distributes the pressure the mask puts on the face and reduces the load on the bridge of the nose, so taking time over this adjustment when first fitting the mask directly affects comfort. The mask has a vent opening — this is how your exhaled breath is expelled, and it must never be blocked. There is also an oxygen inlet port, allowing supplementary oxygen to be connected when needed.
