Description
A cane tip is the product's only contact with the ground, which makes the safety of any cane largely a question of the state of its ferrule. Over time rubber both wears thin and hardens, and a hardened tip no longer grips — markedly raising the risk of a slip on wet tiles, polished parquet or marble. This replacement tip is made for the FS-925, FS-933 and FS-937 models. To judge when it is due, look at the underside: if the tread pattern has worn away, the edges have worn at an angle, or the rubber no longer flexes when pressed with a thumb, it needs renewing. On quad canes, replace all the tips together — renewing just one leaves the cane sitting unevenly. When fitting, push the tip fully home onto the shaft and check there is no play. Before ordering, pull off your existing tip and measure its internal diameter, as this varies between models.
