Description
This is an alcohol-based hand antiseptic for rapid hand disinfection, in a 100 ml spray small enough to carry in a bag or pocket. The active ingredient is 70% w/w ethanol, with 0.5% 2-propanol alongside it, and the formulation contains emollients so the skin feels less dry with frequent use. For hygienic hand disinfection, apply at least 3 ml to the palm and rub over the whole surface of both hands for 30 seconds; wiping it off immediately or shortening the time will not give the intended effect. For surgical hand disinfection, use at least 5 ml and rub up to the elbows for 3 minutes. The product complies with EN 1500. On hands contaminated with adenovirus, poliovirus or murine norovirus, the procedure must be repeated a second time. If hands are visibly soiled, wash them with soap and water first and use the antiseptic afterwards.
