Description
The Endostall manual sphygmomanometer is an aneroid device used by clinicians together with a stethoscope. Unlike a digital monitor, the measurement is made by the user: the cuff is inflated, Korotkoff sounds are listened for with the stethoscope, and the value is read from the manometer. This method is still treated as the reference where digital devices struggle, such as in arrhythmia, but it requires a trained user. The chrome-plated manometer has a 0–300 mmHg scale, and the two-tube connection separates the airflow between cuff and manometer from the bulb. The rubber bulb inflates quickly and the release valve controls the deflation rate — accuracy depends largely on keeping that deflation slow and steady. The hook-closure fabric cuff is quick to fit. Calibration is adjustable; aneroid devices should have their calibration checked periodically. The device is supplied with a carrying case.
