Description
The FS-3028WGF4 adjusts the back and knee sections without needing a power supply. Crank beds are chosen where power cuts are common and where users would rather not depend on a motor; the trade-off is that every position change costs the carer physical effort, so if the patient needs repositioning many times a day an electric model is worth considering. Folding aluminium side rails prevent falls during sleep and drop down when they would be in the way of a transfer. The head and foot boards detach, which makes a real difference when the bed has to pass through narrow stairs and doorways. The castors lock by pedal — always check that all four are locked while the patient gets in or out. When planning the room, leave working space on both sides of the bed; squeezing it against a wall forces the carer into positions that strain the back.
