Description
The FS-937L is an elbow crutch whose cuff spreads the load along the forearm rather than through the wrist. Its 96–119 cm height range covers most adults, and that breadth also means the crutch can be reset for different people during temporary post-operative use. Capacity is 100 kg — above that, look at reinforced models, because overloading a crutch can bend the shaft. The cuff should sit a few fingers' width below the elbow; positioned correctly, the elbow stays bent about 15–20 degrees and the support works at its most efficient. For a one-sided injury a single crutch is usually enough, held on the unaffected side; bilateral weakness calls for a pair. The aluminium frame is light and unaffected by damp. Check the rubber tips regularly — crutch tips wear faster than cane tips because more weight passes through them.
