Description

The FS-958LBHB is a specialised chair for users who cannot hold a seated position in a standard wheelchair. It offers two separate movements: reclining the backrest, and tilting the whole seat unit backwards. The difference matters — reclining opens the hip angle and the user may gradually slide forward, whereas tilting keeps the hip angle intact and shifts pressure onto the back and head, which manages pressure more effectively for people who sit for long stretches. The lateral pads at the shoulders and between the legs are adjustable in position; in users with weak trunk control they prevent sideways collapse and hold a symmetrical posture. The upholstery is mesh over high-resilience foam, and its breathability reduces sweating during long periods of sitting. The adjustable headrest keeps the head from dropping forward. With chairs in this class, correct set-up matters as much as the product: unless the pads and headrest are positioned for the individual, the chair will not deliver what it is capable of, so we recommend fitting it together with us at handover.
