Description
The lumbostad corset supports the lower back with steel stays and, at 26 cm high, belongs to the short-height class. A shorter corset suits users of smaller stature, or anyone for whom a full lumbosacral corset covers too much of the trunk — which is why the right height is judged in proportion to the wearer. The steel stays sit in fabric pockets rather than against the skin, avoiding discomfort and irritation during long wear. The breathable monofilament elastic fabric does not trap sweat or odour and does not bunch up. It is used on medical advice in spinal and vertebral fractures, lumbar disc treatment, lumbar surgery and physiotherapy programmes. Wear it over a vest and take it off at night unless instructed otherwise. Size is determined by measuring the narrowest part of the waist with a tape.
