Description

A travel pillow limits how far the head falls to the side or forward while you sleep sitting up, so the neck muscles are not held tense throughout the journey; it is the most practical way to avoid a stiff neck and shoulders on long flights, coach trips and car journeys. The filling here is visco-elastic (memory) foam, so the pillow takes the shape of your neck and jaw and then returns to its original form. Unlike ordinary foam it does not simply flatten under load but distributes weight evenly across the contact surface, which reduces the sensation of pressure at a single point during long use. It measures 31 cm long, 27 cm wide and 7 cm high — the height at the back lets the head rest against the seat while the ends of the U support the jaw. The cover is a velvet and towelling blend that reduces trapped perspiration where it touches the skin. Try wearing the open side of the U at the front and at the back before settling on one; people whose head drops forward often prefer the opening at the back. Clean the cover regularly and do not leave the memory foam in direct sun or next to a heater.
