Description
A thermo-hygrometer is a simple but genuinely useful device for seeing whether a room's air is comfortable to breathe. It is worth watching in homes affected by asthma, allergies or frequent upper respiratory infections, in nurseries, and in rooms where a nebuliser or oxygen concentrator is in use: very dry air dries the mucosa, while very humid air favours mould and dust mites. The Mesilife DC-103 measures indoor temperature from -10 to +50 °C and relative humidity from 20% to 90%; running its wired probe outside or into another room adds a second temperature reading over -50 to +70 °C. The comfort indicator on the display shows at a glance whether the humidity falls in the dry, ideal or humid band without reading the number. A frost warning tells you when the outdoor probe drops below zero, which is useful for balconies and exposed pipework in winter. The back of the unit is magnetic, so it attaches directly to a fridge door or any metal surface. For accurate readings, keep it away from radiators, air-conditioning outlets and direct sunlight.
