Description
A penlight is a basic examination tool doctors and nurses use to check pupil response, light the mouth and throat, and inspect a wound. The lensed LED in the Mesilife SW-PL37 gathers the light into a narrow beam rather than spreading it, which matters when you need to see a pupil react clearly. The aluminium body stands up to being carried in a pocket better than plastic-bodied lights. A pocket clip keeps it secured in a coat or shirt pocket so it stays where it belongs. It runs on two AAA batteries, supplied in the pack. It is equally useful for home carers, letting you check on someone at night without turning the room lights on. Do not hold the beam on the eye for long; in a pupil check the light is brought in briefly from the side.
