Description
A humidifier bottle is the clear plastic reservoir that passes dry oxygen through water so it reaches the patient moistened. Humidification is not a minor detail: for people on long-term oxygen it reduces dryness, cracking and bleeding in the nose and throat. This item is sold as a spare, to replace a bottle that has cracked, become scaled or whose thread has worn. It is compatible with oxygen regulators and oxygen concentrators, but check that the connection thread and bottle neck on your device match before fitting it. Fill it only with sterile distilled water; tap water leaves limescale and can introduce micro-organisms. Change the water daily and wash and dry the bottle at regular intervals. No device or water is supplied with this product — the bottle only.
