Description
Reflux occurs when stomach contents flow back into the oesophagus, and it is usually felt after lying down following a meal or during the night. Unlike a flat pillow, a reflux wedge raises not only the head but the whole upper torso on a gradual incline, so gravity helps limit that backflow. For the pillow to work, the back has to be supported along the slope — resting only the head on it will not give the intended effect. It is chosen particularly for resting after meals and for night sleep. The fabric cover comes off for washing.
