Description
This sterilisation pouch measures 15 × 20 centimetres. Unlike long, narrow pouches it offers a wide format, which is why it is chosen for bulkier hand instruments, small sets and cases where several items are packed together. One side is steam-permeable medical paper and the other transparent film; the paper admits autoclave steam while the clear side lets you see the contents without opening the pouch. The process indicator printed on it changes colour after the cycle; that shows the pouch has been through the process and does not on its own prove sterilisation succeeded. The pouch is closed with a self-adhesive strip. Avoid overfilling and keep sharp tips from piercing the film when loading — an overfilled pouch impedes steam circulation. Pouches are single use. Store sterilised pouches in a dry, dust-free cupboard out of direct sunlight.
