Description
The Ombra is a table top compressor nebuliser that turns liquid medication into a breathable aerosol for delivery to the lungs, used for home inhalation therapy in conditions such as asthma and COPD. Its compressor produces 2.5–3 bar of pressure and 10 L/min of air flow, and those figures determine how finely the medication is broken up and how long a session takes. The nebuliser cup supplied with it is breath-actuated: aerosol is generated only while you inhale, so less of the dose escapes into the room and more of it reaches the lungs. That matters most with expensive medicines or where the dose is critical. The unit measures 17.8 × 15.5 × 10 cm and weighs 1.59 kg; a contoured handle with a cup holder makes it easy to move, and it comes with a carrying case. Operating sound level is 60 dB(A). The device is made in Canada. Clean the cup and mask after every use and change the air filter at the interval the manufacturer specifies.
