Description
At 90×190 cm this protector sheet fits single beds and most home care bed mattresses. It is laid over the mattress, under the regular sheet; the membrane beneath the fabric holds liquid on the surface so it cannot soak in. For someone using a care bed, living with incontinence or spending long periods in bed, this is the only real protection a mattress has, since the mattress itself cannot be washed. When soiled it comes off and machine washes up to 60 °C, then tumble dries on low heat — high heat degrades the membrane. If you also use underpads or adult pads, the protector sits underneath them as a second barrier and catches leaks. Keeping a spare is practical so the bed stays covered during changes.
