Description
The KB 314 is a soft knitted knee support with a knitted ring around the kneecap. Its circular-knit elastic fabric compresses the knee evenly and stays breathable, so it can be worn under clothing during the day. Because it has no rigid stays or hinges it does not restrict movement; its purpose is compression and targeted support around the patella rather than immobilisation. It is used in inflammatory conditions such as osteoarthritis and bursitis, for local pain at the front or back of the knee, to support diffusion of joint fluid and to maintain muscle activity. It is also chosen as protective wear after meniscus and cruciate ligament surgery. Size is selected by measuring knee circumference, with the 30-45 cm range split into five sizes. If more lateral stability is needed, the KB 714 with spiral springs or the KB 711 with aluminium bars should be considered instead.
