Description
The KB 714 is a knitted knee brace that supports the joint from three directions. Spiral springs on either side limit the knee from opening inwards or outwards; because they flex more than aluminium bars, they restrict bending less. The patella support surrounds the kneecap, while elastic straps above and below stop the brace sliding and let you adjust how firmly it sits. The circular-knit elastic fabric keeps the brace breathable. It is used in chronic meniscus degeneration, chronic oedema and venous abnormalities, in hemiplegia, in conservative post-operative follow-up and in osteoarthritis — in short, wherever medial, lateral and patella support are needed together. Size is selected by measuring knee circumference, with the 30-45 cm range divided into five sizes. Where more rigid lateral support is required, the KB 711 with aluminium bars should be considered.
