Description
This bunion protector combines two functions in one silicone pad: the spacer sits between the big toe and the second toe to keep them apart, while the broad section shields the bony prominence at the base of the big toe from shoe pressure. The most common complaint in hallux valgus is that this prominence rubs against the shoe and becomes irritated; the silicone pad removes that friction. The silicone is soft enough to wear comfortably inside shoes. It comes in one size and is sold as a pair. The link between the spacer and the pad is thin, so fit and remove it gently to avoid tearing. If you only need the toes separated, a plain silicone toe separator is enough; if corrective support is needed overnight, a hallux valgus night splint is the better option.
