Description
This first aid kit is a compact set sized to keep in a car or on a motorcycle, and it works equally well at home, in a workplace, on a boat, camping or during sport. Its contents are chosen for the injuries you might meet at the roadside: hydrophilic gauze compresses, an elastic bandage and triangular bandages for controlling bleeding, plus plasters and tape for cuts. The set includes a textile tourniquet and a cervical collar; having a collar is what sets this kit apart from a standard medicine bag and matters in road traffic incidents when used by someone who knows how. Bandage scissors, two pairs of gloves and a battery torch make the response easier, and the torch is useful in its own right if you are stranded at night. A foil burn blanket is included to slow heat loss. Items such as the cervical collar and tourniquet should only be used by someone with first aid training. Check the torch battery and the expiry dates of the supplies once a year.
