Description
The FS-573 is a dining top that sits across a hospital bed. Its length adjusts between 90 and 118 cm so it can be matched to beds of different widths — measure the outside width of your bed before ordering and check that it falls inside that range. The 33.5 cm top is enough for a tray or a plate and glass; if you want room for a laptop or books as well, look at the deeper-topped FS-562. Eating in bed unaided is a simple arrangement that meaningfully reduces how much the person depends on a carer, and getting the top to the right height and within easy arm's reach noticeably cuts down on spills. Set it so the user can move their arms freely, and position it so it does not rub against the bed rails. Lifting it off and setting it aside when not in use makes transfers and bed-making easier.
