Description
The FS-902C-46 is a steel-framed manual wheelchair with a standard 46 cm seat. Its most distinctive feature is the pneumatic rear tyres: air-filled tyres absorb vibration on broken pavements, stone paving and unmade ground, giving a noticeably softer ride than solid ones. In exchange you must check the pressure regularly and accept the possibility of a puncture; where outdoor use dominates, that trade usually falls in favour of pneumatics. The legrests both detach and elevate; bringing the legs horizontal extends comfortable sitting time for users with swelling in the lower limbs. Desk armrests let the chair pull up to a table so the user can eat there, and because they detach, sideways transfers remain possible. The steel frame is heavier than aluminium — worth factoring in if the chair will travel by car often.
