Description
The FS-954LGC is aimed at users who cannot leave the chair during the day. In daily care, a reclining back means you can change the user's position without moving them to a bed, tilt them back for a daytime nap, and break up the hours spent upright so that pressure is redistributed. Uninterrupted pressure on the same area is the single biggest factor in pressure injuries. The high back and headrest keep the head from dropping forward in users with weak trunk control. The legrests both elevate and detach; bringing the legs horizontal improves comfort particularly for users with swelling in the lower limbs. The aluminium frame is lighter than steel chairs of the same class. Reclining shifts the centre of gravity, so the anti-tipper must always be fitted and the brakes locked while the backrest is adjusted.
