Description
An instant cold pack is a single-use product for applying cold where no freezer is available, and it is a standard item in ambulance, sports ground, school and workplace first aid kits. To use it, locate the liquid pouch inside without opening the pack and squeeze firmly from the outside to burst it; the released water mixes with the crystals in the outer bag and the pack drops to 0.5 degrees Celsius within a few seconds. It stays cold for 20 to 40 minutes depending on the ambient temperature, which is enough for a single session. Being able to respond immediately, without waiting for ice, is its real advantage. It is used in first aid, sports injuries, orthopaedics, physiotherapy, dentistry and after skin care treatments. The pack is single-use and should be thrown away unopened after use; its contents must not come into contact with the skin. Place it over a thin cloth rather than directly on the skin and keep the application to 15 to 20 minutes.
