Description
The Riester minimus III is a double-tube aneroid sphygmomanometer built for clinical use. In a double-tube layout the inflation system connects directly to the manometer, which reduces the pressure fluctuation seen in single-tube designs and makes readings steadier. The 49 mm scale reads up to 300 mmHg with a tolerance of ± 3 mmHg, against a manufacturer's internal standard of ± 2 mmHg. The housing is highly polished chromium-plated metal, and the spoon-shaped stainless steel grip lets you hold the gauge steady in the palm while working the bulb. The tube connector is a chromium-plated screwed type, which delays wear at the joint for users who change cuffs frequently. A micro filter protects the measuring system from dust and moisture, and correct use means no recalibration is required. The device is specified for 10–40 °C and 85% relative humidity, comes in a vinyl zipper case and carries BIHS International Protocol approval. Latex-free cuff options are available. The model has been discontinued, but accessory and service support continues.
