Description
This pad is the consumable that carries current from a TENS or EMS unit to the skin. At 5 × 5 cm it is the common size for larger muscle groups such as the shoulder, back, hip and thigh; spreading the current over a wider area makes higher intensities feel less sharp than with small pads. The connector is a snap stud, so your device lead must end in a snap button — pin-type leads will not fit, and it is worth checking your unit before ordering. The conductive gel layer means no tape or cream is needed; the pad goes straight onto clean, dry skin. Electrodes are consumables and should be replaced once adhesion drops or the edges lift, because partial contact concentrates the current in a small area and becomes uncomfortable. For hygiene reasons pads are personal to one user and should be pressed back onto the clear liner and resealed in the pouch after each session.
